A bit about me
I spent my childhood growing up in Devon with my parents and my brother. With beaches and countryside right on the doorstep it was a pretty amazing childhood. I spent my days drawing pictures, creating collages, making pompoms and painting glass jars. I loved to do anything creative and hands on.
At the age of 19 I packed up my bags and headed to Buckinghamshire where I got my degree in Graphic Arts. Life was very different here, London was only a 30 minute train ride away and everything was very fast paced. As soon as I finished my degree I headed straight back down the motorway to Devon to a much more desirable way of living. At this point I just needed to get a job and I wound up working as an administrator for an insurance company. I spent 4 years in this job. It made me miserable and negatively impacted my mental health. After 4 years I decided enough was enough. I took a hefty pay cut and moved to a different department which essentially just deals with incoming and outgoing post. It’s an easy job with little to no stress attached and the hours work well for me.
Which brings us to today
I’m 28 years old, I have my day job which pays the bills for me and I have Charlotte Shares to express my creative side. After spending 4 years in a job that destroyed my mental health I’m now very passionate about being fulfilled and living the life that I want.
Here at Charlotte Shares you’ll find posts such as self-care, personal development, wellbeing, self-help and positivity. I’m also a keen crafter and it’s something which has really helped with my wellbeing; so be sure to look out for lots of creativity as well!
