2020 has certainly been an odd year. As I’m writing this I’m on my 10th week at home because of Covid-19. I know this time has certainly got me thinking about the future and what I want to be doing. I feel as though this time to myself has really allowed me to recharge and refocus my energy. My dream has always been to be self-employed and I’m suddenly feeling really motivated to make my dream a reality.

I’ve really got into journaling recently. I love using it as a creative outlet to get all of my ideas, goals and dreams down on paper. I LOVE creating pretty graphics to use in my journals. You can’t beat a good quote and a good goals list.

I’ve made this FREE printable that I wanted to share with you all today. I’m calling it the ‘Flourish & Bloom’ printable. Feel free to download it, print it and use it in your journal.

Hey there Charlotte – thank you for sharing your journaling ideas in this post. We are intrigued. We hear many bloggers talk about journaling and we just wondered if you might be be able to give us a little more insight in to how it works for you? For example how often do you journal? Is it recommended to journal daily, weekly, monthly, yearly.? We are just in the dark about it all and would love to learn the benefit of journaling in terms of blogging. I used to journal every night – but that would be more to just put my thoughts down on paper and deal with any emotions that arose during the day or anything that might have been chipping away at me…But Journaling for blogging seems to be a bit of a mind field., so any further tips that you can give would be helpful x

Hey! Thank you so much for your comment. For me, the thing that I love about journaling is that you can make it work for you. If you’re wanting to use journaling for blogging then I think I would personally use it as a way to set goals and record milestones and accomplishments. You could sit down on a Sunday night and layout your goals for the week that you want to achieve with your blog. You could also use it as somewhere to brainstorm ideas for posts etc. If you hit a milestone one day … for example the first time you get 100 views in a day, then write it down in your journal. Having something to look back on and see how far you have come will help to keep you motivated. We often compare ourselves to others and can lose track of how far we have actually come. So using a journal can be a good way to remind yourself of everything you have achieved. I hope this helps! 🙂 x

What a very inspirational and positive reply. Thank you! 100 views per DAY??!! That’s something to work towards hehehe. Also love the idea of brainstorming ideas – that’s always helpful. Milestones is another one for us to look at. We are blogging mainly for pleasure and so are not so bothered about figures and views but it would be great to see if we can set a plan out and work towards it and see the results at the end…hmmmmm! Thank you lots of food for thought.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday x
