Chilly crisp mornings, cosy jumpers and candles – What’s not to love about Autumn? If someone were to ask me what my favourite season is, I would probably say summer. But I always reach the end of summer feeling excited for autumn and all the lovely things that come with it. Here’s what I’m most excited for this year.
There’s nothing I like more than a hot bubble bath, especially when I have a bubble bar from Lush. I recently popped into lush and stocked up with bits and pieces for the autumn. I love being able to come home from work, have a long soak in the bath and then put my PJ’s on for a cosy evening.
On really chilly days, I love to sit in front of the fire with a cup of tea … and my cat. There’s something so relaxing about being by the fire and feeling all warm and toasty.
Myself and Shaun love to go on walks at the weekend. During the autumn time, I really enjoy going to the forest and walking along as the leaves crunch under my welly boots. I find walking a really great way to destress and chill out at the weekend. It’s also a fab way to spend quality time together with no distraction or technology in the way.
Casseroles, chilli con carne, spag bol, lasagne and roast dinners … I love a hearty home cooked autumnal meal. There’s nothing nicer than getting home from work when its cold and raining and being able to eat a meal that warms you up. Shaun and I have been trying out various different recipes recently, so I’ll certainly be sure to share some on here soon.
Scented candles burning away creating a calm and relaxed atmosphere. I love it. I was in Florida this summer so I made a trip to Bath and Body Works and stocked up with some candles to keep me going through the colder months.
Sparklers, fireworks, bonfires, hotdogs, welly boots and good company. We often go out with friends for bonfire night to a local display. I love everything about it. It’s usually freezing cold, but everyone huddles around the fire and tries to keep warm. I love the smell of bonfire night and I love watching all the pretty colours light up the sky.
What are you most looking forward to during the autumn months?
